This week, I had originally planned to use the crocheting skills that I have built through my blanket to crochet a new project like a pillow, stuffed animal, or other small items. Unfortunately, I was extremely busy this week, so that was not able to happen. I did, however, look for ideas for items to crochet on Pinterest and I was able to find a couple of projects that struck my interest. I specifically searched for things like stuffed animals and pillows because those are projects that I have always loved when I see them and I think that they would be very fun to complete. I also think that they could have a lot of uses as they would be able to be used as just decoration or they could be used as pillows, just like my blanket, and they are pretty cute if I'm being honest. As you can see, the two projects that I chose to do later on by using my new crocheting skills are a stuffed octopus and a cactus pillow. These are both things that I wanted to learn how to do when I decided to start crocheting, but I chose the blanket instead because I knew they would be a little more challenging. I would love to use both of these as pillows in my room, and I think that they would be a fun challenge to complete. I am definitely not perfect at crocheting, as I still have a lot of work to do on my blanket and I still mess up a lot, I think that by finishing the blanket and making more projects like these shown above, as well as making more blankets, I will be able to build up this skill to where I can use it for a lot of different purposes. I am super excited to do all of these projects in the future, and I cannot wait to see how they might turn out when I complete them!
